US elections 2024: lesson plans

It’s that time again: the US elections are upon us.

On 5 November, Americans are going to choose between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump for the job of President of the Unites States.

If you have tried looking for ELT lesson plans to teach the US elections, you might have been as surprised as I am to find very little online!

But fear not, for I have scoured the internet and put together this list of resources that you can use to teach the 2024 US elections at different levels.

The list includes lower levels (e.g. A2) and resources appropriate for younger students, as well as more sophisticated and higher level materials.
